If you haven't noticed, cages are not the cheapest thing to find. If you are ready to upgrade your furry friends cage without spending tons of money, I can tell you how.

Things you will need:
  • 2 boxes of 6-cube wire organizers (can be bought from Target)
  • Zipties  (I bought a few from Dollar Tree)
  • A mat or carpet for the flooring (I bought black shelf lining from Target.)
  • Wooden dowels ( for sturdiness when making ramps)

Extras to place inside cage would be your rabbits litter pan, food bowls, water bottle and toys.  This cage would be highly recommended for litter box trained rabbits. If they are not litter box trained, you will end up cleaning dropping from all over.

To put grids together, use the zip ties. When it comes to the size of it, it is up to you. Think of it like legos ;)

Here is my homemade cage. It has two sections for my two rabbits. One side has my doe with her babies and the other side houses my buck.
